The route continues past Banff along the Trans-Canada Highway before turning onto the road into Lake Louise itself, climbing the final stretch up to the lakeshore. A Parks Canada entry fee applies once you cross into Banff National Park, which this route passes through. Photographers booking for sunrise light should factor in the roughly two-hour drive when setting a pickup time. Like the Banff route, this is a longer stretch through the park, so wildlife on the road at dawn or dusk is worth planning around.
