Why PrimeKar exists
The rides that can't go wrong.
Most trips are forgettable. A few aren't. A flight you can't miss. A 5 a.m. departure. A meeting that took months to get. A wedding that only happens once.
Those are the trips PrimeKar was built for: the ones where "it'll probably be fine" isn't good enough, and where the cost of transportation failing is much larger than the fare.
PrimeKar launched in January 2026. That makes it a young company, and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise. What we'd point to instead is how the service is set up: arranged in advance, tracked where it matters, and reachable by phone at any hour. Those aren't features added later. They're the reason the company exists.
What Certainty Requires
Three decisions, and the thinking behind them.
Reliability is easy to claim and harder to build for. These are the choices that follow from taking it seriously.
Arranged in advance, not summoned on the spot.
PrimeKar isn't a rideshare, and that's a deliberate choice. Instant availability means finding out whether a car exists at the exact moment you need one. That's the worst possible time to find out. Booking ahead means the vehicle and the driver are settled before the day arrives, and the answer is already yes.
We can sometimes take a shorter-notice request, subject to what's available. But the service is built around knowing in advance, not hoping on the day.
For YYC arrivals, we follow the flight — not the timetable.
A pickup time based on a scheduled arrival isn't really a pickup time, because flights move. When you book a pickup at Calgary International you can add the flight you're arriving on, and PrimeKar tracks it, so the plan follows what actually happened rather than what was supposed to.
We answer the phone at 3 a.m.
Transportation problems don't keep business hours, and neither does the airport. PrimeKar runs rides at any hour and staffs a phone line at any hour, because a service that's only reachable when nothing is going wrong isn't much of a service.
Where PrimeKar Operates
Calgary, and the drive west.
City transportation across Calgary and Calgary International Airport, plus the mountain routes (Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper). Those run year round, conditions permitting, with winter-rated tires on the vehicles that do them.
Two vehicle classes cover it: PrimeKar Executive for up to four passengers, and PrimeKar Elite XL for up to six.
