Why the flight number is what makes this work
Flight tracking only applies to arrivals into YYC, not to rides you're taking to catch a departure. Without a flight number, your wait time is counted from the pickup time you set when you booked. With one, PrimeKar sees the actual landing time and adjusts around it automatically, so a delay doesn't put you on the clock before you've even left the aircraft.
What happens if your flight is early or late
Either way, it's handled the same: PrimeKar sees the updated arrival and your pickup moves with it. There's no charge for the delay itself. You get 45 minutes of complimentary wait starting from the moment your flight actually lands, free. If you need longer than that and you're in touch with your driver, they can keep waiting, with additional time charged by the minute.
Where you meet your driver
Curbside at an arrivals door. Once you're through with your bags, you and your driver agree the exact door between you by call or message in the app, or by phone, text or WhatsApp if you booked without the app. It varies with the terminal and how the airport is running that day, so this gets confirmed once you're actually inside rather than guessed in advance.
